LONDON—Marie Guerlain, of the Guerlain perfume and cosmetics dynasty, has founded a luxury cookware brand that is set to launch exclusively at Harrods in March.
Called Ondine, the line is the result of five years of development between Guerlain and Serafino Zani, the Italian housewares design and production company. Each piece has been handcrafted and assembled with 316ti titanium grade stainless steel in Italy with Guerlain involved throughout the process, from the design of the product to the milling of the pan body, according to a company statement.
The line brings contemporary design to the cookware, and Guerlain’s signature is engraved onto each piece in the Signed Editions of the collection. Items range from a small saucepan for approximately $442 to an oval roasting pan for around $990.
“As a qualified nutrition health coach, I have always had a passion for cooking and really believe that high quality cookware not only looks beautiful, but also enhances your cooking experience,” said Guerlain, founder and creative director of Ondine. “The Ondine Platine Collection combines performance with cutting edge design influenced by both my family heritage in luxury goods and my career as an artist.”
